Steel Valley Middle School celebrated St. Patrick’s Day and Stand Together promoted the powerful words of Maya Angelou “always be a rainbow in someone else’s cloud” through a series of activities during lunch. Each student was given skittles or starbursts with the powerful message, each table was identified with a different mental illness table tent that was full of facts on that mental illness and reflection activities “I am lucky because…” and “My Rainbow…” were given out for additional rewards for participation. Last, a photo booth was set up to celebrate our differences and similarities! Congratulations to BreAsia Strayhorn and William Coin on winning a giftcard for their participation. It was a great day!
